Notice Regarding Judicial Payment Processing System: The United States Courts are undergoing an upgrade of their payment processing system affecting federal court payments nationwide. The payment system will be temporarily unavailable from June 6, 2025, to July 1, 2025. Please see Notice for more details.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for Public Access: Starting May 11, 2025, all CM/ECF and PACER users will be able to enroll in MFA and are strongly encouraged to do so at that time. MFA enrollment will be optional for users with PACER-only access. Users with CM/ECF-level access who do not voluntarily enroll will be randomly selected to enroll beginning in August 2025. By the end of 2025, everyone with CM/ECF-level access will be required to use MFA when logging in. More information about the MFA process is available on the PACER website.

URGENT - Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) Scam: Courts have been informed that fake Notices of Electronic Filing ("NEFs") are being sent to attorneys and law firms across the country, including in the Southern District of Indiana. These fake NEFs are phishing attempts to convince recipients to respond back to the emails. Once a recipient replies to the email they are sent a follow-on email containing a link to access a document that leads the user to a malicious website. Please take caution if you receive one of these fake NEFs. Cases and case documents should be validated through CM/ECF only. Do not download any attachments or click any links from unofficial or questionable sources.

Criminal Debt Payments: The Clerk's Office does not accept credit card payments over the phone, in person, or through Pay.Gov for any type of Criminal Debt payment. Please mail a check or money order made payable to Clerk, United States District Court, 46 East Ohio Street, Room 105, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Payments and/or accompanying documentation must include the case number. If a case number is not provided, the payment will be returned to the payer.
